Stand Up To Cancer Scientists with boxing gloves

Stand Up To Cancer speeds up life-saving cancer research by taking developments in the lab and accelerating them into new tests and treatments for cancer patients who need them. We’ve set ourselves an ambitious target to ensure 3 in 4 people in the UK survive their cancer by 2034.

Emily Hayward was diagnosed with malignant melanoma in 2017 after discovering a mole on her calf. In 2013, a scan revealed the cancer had returned and had spread to her lymph nodes, and later to her lungs, liver and brain. Emily shared her journey through her own YouTube channel, showing her regular trips to the gym and her daily life with her partner, Aisha. Emily passed away on 26 June 2018, age 24.

Every pound raised helps speed up life-saving cancer research, bringing treatments to people like Emily, faster.
