Stand up to cancer just

like Charlie

Stand up to cancer just like Charlie

Last year, the Dog Walking Challenge was taken on by one of our smallest supporters but biggest fundraisers.

Charlie who is 9 years old, started the challenge because his dad's best friend, Uncle Ben was diagnosed with a brain tumour, and he wanted to do something to help. Without a dog of his own, Charlie borrowed other people's dogs to take on the challenge with Uncle Ben's Labradors, Digby and Bertie, being his favourites.

Sadly, 2 weeks into the challenge Uncle Ben passed away. Suddenly the challenge took a different focus and 'it felt like we were doing it for Ben'.

Charlie ended up raising an incredible £11,500 and topping the fundraisers leaderboard. We are forever inspired by people like Charlie and his family who Stand Up To Cancer.
