Comedy Weekend: Meet The Comedians

Comedy weekend: Meet
The Comedians

On July 13 and 14 we have an exclusive weekend of stand-up comedy at the Bill Murray Theatre in London. Some of the nation’s most loved comedians and emerging stars will be testing new material. This will be your chance to see the comedy’s cream of the crop before they head to Edinburgh Fringe Festival. For a fraction of the price!

Check out some of the hilarious acts taking to the stage for Who Cares? It’s for Charity.

London Hughes

From Blue Peter to the winner of the Funny Women Awards, London Hughes fits the bill as both hysterically funny and brilliantly smart.

Her path to comedic headliner has taken her across ‘Celebs Go Dating’ on E4 and also a two-year stint on CBBC.

In 2016, London launched her own YouTube comedy series No Filter, written by and starring herself. Based on the real life of young Londoner’s, No Filter features the hottest young talent in comedy. Never shy, but also hilarious, London is currently launching her own show ‘To Catch A D**k’ which has already sold out across the UK.

Josie Long

Josie isn't short on talent. In 2006, she won Best Newcomer award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Since then she has been involved in projects across radio, TV and live stand up. Name a TV comedy show – Josie has been on it. From gracing '8 Out Of 10 Cats' or 'Have I Got News For You' to Doctor Who featurettes, her comedy CV is vast.

Her popular live shows across the past 10 years include shows in Australia, America and across the UK. With three nominations for the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show... And two BAFTA nominated short comedy films, you won't want to miss her show!

Nick Helm

You might see him singing or performing poetry, but you might also get the best comedy set of the year. Nick Helm has long been a celebrated name in comedy since starting stand-up comedy in 2007. You may recognise his famous face from ‘Uncle’ or his own food travelogue: ‘Eat Your Heart Out with Nick Helm’.

He has also won a host of comedic awards including ‘Winner of Best Breakthrough Artist at British Comedy Awards 2014’.

Crystal Rasmussen

Next to the term ‘global phenomenon’ in the dictionary, you’ll see a photo of Crystal. She can sing, dance, act, model and holds the worldwide record for author most nominated for the Nobel Prize. Her famed books include: ‘You Are What You Eat’, and ‘Crystal is a Diamond’.

With classics such as ‘Jogging in Uggs, Limping in Heels’, ‘Riverside Chaucer’, and more. This show will be something you won't forget.

If you have been impressed by these, you wait until you see who else we have in store! Don’t forget to grab your tickets to ‘Who Cares? It’s For Charity’ now to help fund life-saving research.
