EXPLORES LIVING WITH CANCER

Created by visual artist, Josh Spindler in collaboration with his girlfirend, Róisín Lanigan, Guess I'll Live is an exhibition exploring themes of bad luck, suffering and survival.

Based on the couple's real-life story after Róisín was diagonised with breast cancer at the age of 26, the exhibition offers a restrospective look at the journey of both individuals and presents the relationship between 'sufferer and spectator.'

Róisín said: “Not a lot of work about going through cancer takes into account that it's a real ripple effect disease and it affects the people you love, not just you, so I think this exhibition really tackles that."

A zine, written by Róisín, celebrating the stories of cancer survivors and a meme-inspired pin will be available to purchase on opening night. All proceeds will be donated to Stand Up To Cancer and Trekstock.

Visit the exhibition at the Chopping Block Gallery in Peckham running from Thursday 28 February to Sunday 2 March.
