WOULD YOU ENTER A HAUNTED MILL
IN THE NAME OF FUNDRAISING?

Keith, a Cancer Research UK charity shop manager in Northallerton, has faced his fears by spending the night in a haunted mill, to raise funds for Stand Up To Cancer.

Despite having been manager of the store for just four months and being scared of his own shadow amongst a long list of things, he signed up to go on a ghost hunt at the Abandoned Walton Mill in Chesterfield, to raise money in honour of his grandad who died of cancer.

Keith said: “I wanted to do something that was a bit of a challenge for Stand Up To Cancer and thought that a night in a haunted mill would be something different to try. I don’t really like horror films and am scared of the dark, but I did it and am proud that I survived the night! It was terrifying and dramatic - I screamed lots, but it was worth it. The money I’m raising will help us beat cancer sooner.”
