Great Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off
2019 highlights

Last year we saw an incredible celeb-filled line-up of bakers take to the tent to try their hand at Signature Bakes, Technical Challenges and Showstoppers. But who rose to the challenge to be crowned Star Baker and who crumbled under the pressure? Take a look at some of last year’s most memorable moments.

James Acaster’s infamous ‘Flapjack Soup’

In one of the funniest moments of the whole series, James Acaster had a bit of an issue with his Bakewell tart-inspired flapjacks which turned out “more like soup”. When presenting it to the judges he admitted "I started making it, had a breakdown… bon appétit!"

Michelle Keegan impressed the judges to win Star Baker

After dominating all three rounds Michelle Keegan was crowned Star Baker and awarded the coveted Star Baker apron.

Sandi Toksvig sabotaged Krishnan Guru-Murthy’s almond cake

In arguably the most awkward moment of the series, host Sandi Toksvig tried to help Krishnan Guru-Murthy flip his raspberry almond cake and inadvertently ended up destroying it. But whose fault was it? People had their say on Twitter and thought Sandi was to blame!

John Lithgow wowed Noel Fielding

John Lithgow impressed Noel Fielding not with his baking prowess but with his Yoda voice.

Russell Brand and Jon Richardson thought outside the box

Crowned Star Baker for his extraordinary 3D biscuit, Russell Brand had everyone in the tent splitting their sides while Jon Richardson pushed the boat out with some interesting vegan bakes.
