Chris' osteosarcoma story

Chris' Osteosarcoma Story

"I didn't think I'd be able to do much after my amputation."

Chris was diagnosed with osteosarcoma after doctors discovered a tumour in his leg when he was just 19 years old. Following amputation, he went through over a year of successful treatment, but in October 2017, two further tumours were discovered. Unfortunately, doctors then told Chris his cancer was inoperable.

Now 22, Chris’ cancer is shrinking, and he is determined to raise awareness of cancer in young people and his passion to play golf is showing no signs of stopping either.

Our research brings treatments to people who need them, faster.

1 in 2 people in the UK will get cancer during their life time.
