Ella's Story - Ewing Sarcoma

Ella's Story

- Ewing sarcoma

Ella was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma in November 2011 and needed 12 months of chemotherapy as well as intensive radiotherapy. She said "I wasn’t scared of dying but I didn’t want my parents to lose a child. When I was given the news that my scans were clear it was a tsunami of relief. I just wanted to run and tell everyone I was free." Ella has now been in remission since 2012. She still has to have regular check-ups, but she's gone on to graduate from university with a first class physiotherapy degree, and is now working for the NHS.
