Karen's Story - Breast Cancer

While training to be a fire fighter, Karen discovered a lump in her breast and was later diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer.

"I was fit, healthy. I don't smoke or drink. I never expected it to be anything serious."

After going into remission and returning to work, she was given the devastating news that the cancer had returned and spread to her brain. Sadly, karen passed away on 19 February 2019. She was 41 years old.
