Sal's story – breast cancer and bile duct cancer

Sal was diagnosed with breast cancer after discovering a lump. She went on to have chemotherapy which worked and she and her family were so relieved that her breast cancer had been cured.

However, after being referred for a blood test and an X-ray following a pain in her knee, Sal found out that she had cancer again but this time it was stage 4 bile duct cancer.

Sal entered a hospice in August 2020 and she passed away on 18 September 2020.
