Tom Parker's Inside My Head documentary for Stand Up To Cancer

Posted on: 6 October 2021

Tom Parker, from boyband The Wanted, was diagnosed with a brain tumour last October at the age of 32-years-old. The Parker family’s world was torn apart when they were told that Tom has an inoperable glioblastoma – the most aggressive type of brain tumour. Now that his first round of treatment has shrunk the tumour, Tom is determined to turn his situation into something positive while his condition remains stable.

As part of this year’s Stand Up To Cancer campaign, Tom, Kelsey and their children, two-year-old daughter Aurelia and seven-month-old son Bodhi, have invited the cameras into their lives as they look to make every future moment count.

Supported by his wife Kelsey, his family and his former bandmates, Tom takes the extraordinary step of arranging a star-studded charity concert at the Royal Albert Hall to raise awareness about brain tumours. Tom had just months to prepare for the show and to get The Wanted back together to perform on stage for the first time in seven years.

The feature-length documentary, Inside My Head, from Spun Gold TV will air as part of Channel 4’s Stand Up To Cancer programming this Sunday, 10 October at 9pm. Make sure you tune in!
